Train Chronicles

Growing up in the countryside gave Martin Brignall, of The Train Chronicles, a startling naivety. Moving to London destroyed that.
Martin layers his music with the despair and desperation of living in the modern world, detailing everything from having no money to getting mugged. He would prefer to not be known as a singer songwriter, but as someone who draws on influences of early Jazz, Folk and Blues. His favourite musicians and performers include Django Reinhardt, Son House, Blind Willie Johnson and Capt. Beefheart. He is currently working on an E.P. called Father Thames, which is based on the river and its history.
